Email notifications

Disable / enable all email notifications for a project

Project managers can disable or enable all email notifications for a project from the project Settings tab. To disable or enable email notifications, go to the Overview section and select the Settings tab in the sidebar on the far right of the page. In the Project Settings section at the top, there's an option to enable / disable email notifications. To enable email notifications, simply check the box. To disable, click to uncheck the box as shown here.

If disabled, no email notifications will go out for that project to anyone. If a user goes to add new item in the project, the bell icon for alerts which is located on the far right of the input field will no longer be available once they are disabled (as shown here in the tasks section, for example).

Sending email notifications

If email notifications are enabled on the project, emails can be sent when adding new items or comments in Projecturf. In the Calendar, Tasks, Tickets, and Files section, click the My Alerts icon on the far right of the input field and choose from one of the following options:

If you click Send email alert, only the author and the users that are assigned to the item (in the case of tasks, tickets, and events) or given permission (in the case of Files) will receive the email notification.

When adding a new File Version or Approving Files, everyone with permission on that file will automatically receive an email notification.

If you choose Send email alerts to selected people, only the people you select will receive the notification.

Anyone that receives an email when a new file, task, or ticket is added, can reply via email and the reply will show up in the comments for that item. Note that replies via email do not get sent to the author.

In the Conversations section, anyone added to the conversation and the author will receive an email. This ensures that everyone sees the conversation and can also reply from their email. Note that replies via email do not get sent to the author.

Comment notifications

In the Tasks, Tickets, and Files sections, if you click Send email alert when adding a new comment, everyone associated with that item (including the author) will receive an email notification of the new comment. Users can reply directly from their email on comment notifications and they will appear in the comments tab as part of the thread. Note that replies via email do not get sent to the author.
